How to Unlock Shifter Stuck in Park on Land Rover LR3 (2006 & Newer)

This video shows you how to unlock a shifter stuck in park on a 2006 Land Rover LR3.

There are two ways to do this:

1) Drill a very small hole (2/16th or 3mm) on the right hand top corner of the shifter panel. Then put a hard wire (preferably coat hanger rod) & put it in to the hole. The wire should be able to be pressed down, kind of like a button. When you press this hard wire down, even with the vehicle off, you can then move your shifter down to other positions.

2) On the right side of the shifter, there is a small rubber tray that could easily be removed with your fingers. By removing that rubber tray, you will access a small hole where you can put your finger up through the back of the shifter, about an inch behind the ``D.`` Press the plastic tab, that has a springy feel. While pressing that tab upwards, you can then move your shifter to the neutral position. Then release the tab & you will be able to shift it to the drive position.
