Where the Blue of the Night (Meets the Gold of the Day) - The Pasadena Roof Orchestra

Where the Blue of the Night performed live by the Pasadena Roof Orchestra with band leader and singer Duncan Galloway
Recorded live in May 2018 for Polish Radio and streamed live as part of a special performance

The Pasadena Roof Orchestra was founded in 1969 after the discovery of over 2000 original arrangements in an attic in Manchester. Today, the orchestra is seen as the world’s most successful 1920’s and 1930’s dance band, with a busy date schedule taking them to every major concert house in Europe. This coming year will see the Orchestra visit famous venues such as the Hamburg Musikhalle, London’s Cadogan Hall, the Konzerthouse in Vienna, the Mozartereum in Salzburg as well as the Konzerthaus in Berlin.

The song was originally "When the Gold of the Day Meets the Blue of the Night", but the title was changed before recording. Because Crosby wrote the verse for the song, writers Roy Turk and Fred E. Ahlert included him in the songwriting credit.

Lyrics:
Where the blue of the night meets the gold of the day,
Someone waits for me.
And the gold of her hair crowns the blue of her eyes,
Like a halo tenderly.

If only I could see her,
Oh, how happy I would be.
Where the blue of the night meets the gold of the day,
Someone waits for me.
