What if Julius Caesar Was Not Assassinated? - Dacian Triumph and Rome Reforged (Part 2 of 4)

What if Julius Caesar was not assassinated? (Play your own Alt-History with Imperator: Rome http://bit.ly/2OtmSZn) In this documentary mini-series look beyond the Historia Civilis Caesar series to explore the ripple effects of what if Caesar was not assassinated!

In part 2 we conclude the Dacian war by discussing the terms of Peace and how the region is settled. This involves the annexation of the lands south of the Danube which will become a province while the northern lands are made into vassals or at least trade partners. Meanwhile the frontier gets fortified and the interior region gets developed.

Soon Caesar returns to Rome to celebrate a triumph for his victory. After the festivities, he launches many key policies to transform the Roman world. These include a series of ambitious construction projects, a series of colonies including at Carthage, and reforms to the judicial system among many others. In addition we discuss the state of politics at the time and how Julius Caesar would have managed to control the government of Ancient Rome. We then conclude with Caesar setting off for Parthia.

What will this mean for the Roman Republic and Roman history? Stay tuned for the next episode where we cover the great war in the east.
