Most People In This Russian Town Are Blind

The Russian town of Rusinovo has a higher proportion of blind residents than any other place in Russia. In 1948, the blind were taken here from all over the Soviet Union. A factory and houses were built specially for the blind.

Some say they just wanted to remove all the invalids from the streets, others say it's good for the blind to get support from their own community.

The idea was to provide a better quality of life there, but Current Time TV's Vadim Kondakov found that life there is less than ideal for its current residents.
