Qantas to hold long-awaited annual meeting in Melbourne
The long-awaited Qantas Annual General Meeting will be held at Melbourne's Convention and Entertainment Centre tomorrow on Friday.
It's the first chance for shareholders to express their views to the board; in the wake of a series of controversies from the airline.
Some big shareholders have already said they are planning to vote against reappointing Todd Sampson as a director at this meeting.
If more than 25 percent vote against Qantas’ remuneration report, there will be a first strike against the board.
After a second strike – next year – the board would have to put themselves up for re-election.
Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd will be in Melbourne to cover the meeting tomorrow.
