Empowering Victims & Scenes Of Exaltation
In this video, I talk about victims in the movies. In a popular movie, a character may start out as a victim, but will probably not remain a victim for very long. In this video, you’ll gain further insight into the Crime genre in relation to victimhood and how it operates.
According to Aristotle, a story needs a reversal of fortune because viewers do not want to watch static characters. In a movie about victims, what we want to see is the victim move from a state of suffering to a state of action.
In this video, I discuss the movies namely Breaking the Waves, Death Wish and Lethal Weapon to further discuss victimhood. There is a transformation of a character in such a short period of time. It takes only a short amount of time before these former victims begin to enjoy being an active avenger.
Here’s a question for you:
Why is empowerment so attractive to audiences?
In this video, you’ll also discover the reason why crime annihilates victims. Many films in action and crime genre end with a scene of exaltation which clearly shows the hero’s triumph.
Please take a second to post your findings in empowerment and annihilation of victimhood in the comment section so that everybody can benefit from them.
