The Octaverse is a unique combination reverse delay + octave pedal. The octave up or down shifting applies only to the repeats and not to the dry guitar tone so it can be useful both in a pad-like application as well as creating distinctive sounds with the the Octaverse as the main effects unit. It's simple to use and pretty much impossible to find a bad setting. It sounds beautiful on its own, but especially I've found that it pairs well with other ambient-oriented devices.
