I’m about to change your entire outlook on how YouTube works and I swear after this video you are going to be an absolute machine.

Everything I will tell you about today is the core of how I create content on this channel, it is how I started uploading weekly at the end of July 2020, and by October we had hit 1000 Subscribers, monetized the channel, and as of writing this description, we are bringing in 400 new subs a day.

The number one rule to grow a Youtube channel that you need to understand. Search intent.

Nobody is searching highlights and VODs of somebody with no viewers or following, this is why I don’t tell new streamers to start a Youtube channel for their highlights. You don’t have an audience yet, which means you need to find an audience by figuring out what they are searching for and capitalize on that.

This is easiest done with Education content, that is what I am doing with this channel. I use tools and common sense to think about what people who want to learn to stream or improve their stream are looking for. I then cater content to fit those needs and release it.

If I am starting out, I aim to go after topics with low search competition, and low to medium search volume, this is easier to appear at the top of the search results when somebody looks up the question.

Make education content on the topic you want to grow in, if you are a Stardew Valley streamer then you can make videos about “How To Install Mods In Stardew Valley” or “Best Greenhouse Layout For Stardew Valley” or if you are a speedrunner for something like Super Mario Odyssey or Legend of Zelda, “How To Speedrun Super Mario Odyssey - Cap Kingdom Tutorial”

The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty.
