Sometimes, a franchise tries really hard to kill itself, only to be saved by a dedicated writer who wants to push the mythos of the franchise to new limits and do what the movies failed to do. That’s the story of the Terminator franchise and writer Declan Shalvey, who has been trying to rejuvenate it. And you know what? This guy has done it one more time with his latest The Terminator Metal: Issue 1. It is a story that’s set after the horrific events of Judgement Day, and now, a man must trust his life unto the skills and loyalty of a reprogrammed T-800, but there will be issues, including those that come up because of the very reprogramming that turned the robot pro-human.
