Hungary protecting the European Union's borders as well as its own: Katalin Novak

Hungary's President Katalin Novak opens up about the country's notoriously tight borders despite being a landlocked country.

“Hungary is not only protecting its own borders but also that of the European Union,” she told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi.

“We have very strong pressures from our southern borders, we are protecting actually the external border of the European Union of the Shenzhen Zone."

The President also voiced her belief that strong borders represent a strong country.

“A country is as strong as it can support its land, its borders.”

“It is a must for each and every country to be able to decide who to let in and who not to.”
