During this 1 hour review, we will go through 15 different measurement functions common to 6-1/2 digit DMMs: DC/AC Voltage, DC/AC Current, 2-wire/4-wire Ohms/Resistance, Continuity, Frequency, Period, Diode, Temperature, Capacitance, DC Voltage Ratio, and Digitize Current/Voltage.
Some of the examples we’ll look at include using:
· the DC Voltage Ratio function to measure power,
· the Diode function to check for failed components,
· the Capacitance function to determine the quality of cables,
· and more real tests for all 15 common measurement functions.
Along the way, we will also explore why 6-1/2 digits matter at all (why not 5?). We will also look at some advanced visualization tools like different ways of graphing, and even dip our toes into programming and scripting. If you would like, grab your DMM and follow along!
