*The Other Side of God: God's Wrath*
Many people appreciate you and call you a very nice person. But when someone else begins to take your niceness for granted you might find yourself saying: he does not know the other side of you. The other side of you! This statement usually means you're nice but.... You get it? Right? But what about the other side of God?
Dear brothers and sisters, at the beginning of John 3, we read yesterday about God's love. For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son that whoever believes in him might not perish but will have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but that we might be saved through Him. That is John 3:16-17. By these verses we understand that God loves even sinners.

Today, we come across the other side of God. God's Wrath, expressed in verse 36: "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's Wrath remains on him." The wrath of God, the anger of God, the other side of God?
What is God's Wrath or anger all about? We learned in Dogmatic Theology that one of the attributes of God is wrath: anger. This does not mean God gets into an uncontrolled and unthinking violent reactions line we, humans, do. The anger of God summit means that, although God loves you and loves you and loves you, yet he does not dodge his responsibility to execute justice and to punish injustice and sin.
God is angry against sin.
When unrighteousness arises.

God's anger is aroused when you do not believe in the Son of God. When you reject his Mercy. When we transgress his lawsuit
Our God is Love but he is just.
Is it a man misused a sum of money. As he did this he never believed that his good Christian friend would take steps to have him punished for embezzlement. He's not in jail. He is in jail because he depended too much on the kindness and mercy of his Christian friend instead of recording with his Justice. Difference there is great danger in misunderstanding God's essential character. God is a God of Justice as well as a god of love. He will inflict punishment where punishment is due.
God can be angry with you now. Think of what happened in Sodom and Gomorahh.
God's anger is going to be actively executed in the next life. In their judgement

Good loves you yet you do not rely on this and stop working for your salvation in great and reminding. Do not forget the other side of God
