Google's Pixel Watch 2 will launch on October 4 alongside the Pixel 8 phones, so here's a rumours and leaks round-up ahead of the UK release. This upgraded smartwatch should look similar, but the Pixel Watch 2 will boast a big performance and battery life boost (hopefully). So here's hoping it doesn't die in a day like Google's original wearable.

Of course, this Wear OS offering has strong rivals in the Ticwatch 5 Pro and Samsung's Galaxy Watch 6. So what will the Pixel Watch 2 offer in comparison? Well, there's Google's Fitbit connection, which means smart and comprehensive fitness tracking on board. You will have to pay for a premium subscription to make full use of this, though.

It's unlikely that the Pixel Watch 2 will offer long battery life like the Ticwatch, but here's hoping it can at least last 2-3 days between charges. Wear OS is said to be more energy efficient and that Snapdragon W5 Plus Gen 1 chipset (also found in the Ticwatch 5 Pro) will help prolong this smartwatch's life.
