BIG DADDY DELUXE SWAG | Adventure Kings | Set Up & Review

We had an overnight fishing trip planned for the beach, so I purchased the Adventure Kings Big Daddy Deluxe Swag as this would be the first of many trips. The shipping was fast (I'm based in NZ) and I had no issues with the customer service whatsoever.

This was my first time sleeping in the swag and the second time setting it up. Keep in mind, if you purchase one, you need to "season" it first before using it. I was unaware of this, but as you do with anything new, you get it out the box and have a play when it arrives. Reading through the literature, it talked about "seasoning it before use". Basically, you need to set it up, then saturate it with water and let it dry. Do this 3 times and you are done. What this does, is help the canvas expand and contract and it improves the waterproof-ness of it. Luckily I did this the weekend before and not the night before!

It's a piece of cake to set up, way easier than one of those pop up tents (which I also have). It look me about 13 mins to set up, but with a buddy you could probably halve that.

The biggest selling points for me were the ease of setting up, the amount of room on the inside and the fact it's self supporting. The only ropes to peg down are the ones for the end flaps for ventilation.
