GTA 6: Rockstar’s Identity Crisis… Explained

GTA 6 might have a bigger problem than anyone expected… Rockstar can’t decide what kind of game they want to make.

On one side, you have the fast, chaotic, and funny style of GTA 5. On the other, the slow, realistic, and emotional world of Red Dead Redemption 2. And now with GTA 6… it looks like Rockstar might be trying to combine both.

But that’s where things get risky.

If GTA 6 leans too realistic, it could lose the fun that makes GTA what it is. But if it leans too much into comedy and chaos, it could feel shallow again. And if Rockstar tries to mix both styles… it could either be the best thing they’ve ever made—or a complete mess.

This is the biggest question facing GTA 6 right now.
