Hanauma Bay Beach Hawaii Snorkeling FULL REVIEW [4K]

Hanauma Bay is located on the south shore of Oahu, Hawaii and it's only 30 min drive from Waikiki. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Island and has suffered somewhat from overuse that's why the bay is closed on Tuesdays.
Pros:
Lots of fish variety (about 400 species of fish are known to inhabit the bay)
Beach amenities (bathroom, changing area, lifeguard, food stand, gift shop, information stand)
Cons:
Limited parking (get there early if driving)
No umbrella/beach chair rentals
Poor coral reef
Takes about an hour to get in (long line for tickets, waiting for orientation, orientation, etc)

You can book the shuttle from Waikiki to Hanauma bay right from their site and it includes round trip transportation and snorkel gear. However, you still need to pay your admission fee. If you book your snorkel tour at the hotel or anywhere online, be sure to find out if it includes snorkel gear and the ticket to get in.
