struggling with spirituality ✨
wow ok, so I filmed this a while back and rewatching this I'm like yessss 👏🏼 but there is so much more I wish I could add.
For starters, I mentioned this but I think it's important to emphasize that connecting with your spirituality has *nothing* to do with aesthetics, objects or things. I'm talking the marketed decks, pillows, crystals, programs and even home decor. I've witnessed and fallen prey to believing that you need to "get the vibe right" and therefor need a new this or that, and it's totally wrong. You do not need anything but your mind, body and soul to connect so please don't let anyone, including myself, make you feel any different. Instead of filling company pockets, fill you your soul (and save your money) unless you feel it's actually something that will be of true value to you and you want to invest.
I also wish I dove more into the exhaustion of feeling like you have to track and stay on top of every planetary phase, retrograde and movement. Again, this is such a fun wormhole to jump down and using apps like The Pattern or Co-star have helped to reflect back to me what I may be feeling or going through during particular times but this information isn't anything you need to have memorized or commit to as truth. There are days my co-star says trouble in everything and I have a great day. There are days it says power in sex & love and I nearly fall off my chair laughing. You don't need to have a ceremony every full/new/half/quarter moon (unless you WANT to). What I'm getting at is anything you worry or stress about is DISconnecting you from your spirituality so screw it, let the moon and mercury be wherever they are if you've got a lot on your plate!
Lastly, if there is anything I've learned through these years of spiritual learning it's this: no one knows *your* spirit more than you and -everything- is up for interpretation. Are there traditional ways to reading tarot, using crystals, saying mantras, casting spells, meditating, manifesting, yoga, prayer, etc.? ABSOLUTELY.
Can you get a guru, a teacher, a master, or a spiritually advanced person to tell you how, what and why? YES.
Do you need to? Not if you do not want to.
I'm not saying don't learn the traditional way of things, there is much to gain in doing so, but what I am saying is that even the most traditional ways of doing things, spiritual or not, will not always be true to what is uniquely you.
Whether you're stretching your body, quieting your mind, pulling a card reading or manifesting a dream, feel free to do it your own way.
Look at your tarot cards and read each one like a story to create your own answers. Set your intentions by writing them on your walls, saying them 3 times, lighting candles or anything else you want to mf do. Meditate by walking quietly through a park instead of sitting still on a pillow if that feels right to you. While there are traditional ways to doing things, it is in my belief there is no wrong way of doing these things if it helps you connect to *your* truth.
Don't overwhelm yourself with how advanced or behind you think you are and instead, drop lower into your feeling. That feeling that knows when something is off, something is magical, something is a sign. That intuitive wisdom thats been with you since birth. It's always there, and a lot of the spiritual fluff out in the world now can so easily distract you from it.
Connecting back to it is the only goal, everything else is just a path to take.
Slow down and pick your path wisely.
