The Myanmar Mobile Education Project - Joss Stone Foundation

The Myanmar Mobile Education Project is a brilliant idea. The project provides education via mobile classrooms to children in Myanmar who are forced to work long hours every day in tea shops, in order to sustain their families. Many children don't have access to education and the buses provide them with the opportunity to learn basic literacy, maths and computer skills in a safe environment where they can gain self-confidence.

This project began with one bus and 60 students in two tea shops in Yangon. Their success has been tremendous. Today, they have over 1200 child workers enrolled in the program in Yangon, Myanmar. Check out our visit back in 2017.
