Apatani Traditional Marriage | Mida | Preparation for Mida | Leegang Ampi Landi Tara Mida | Ziro

Mida is a marriage ceremony of Apatani tribe of Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, India. Mida is hoisted and organized by the parents of the bride in the honour of their Son -in-law. In this ceremony Daughter and son-in-law are gifted and blessed with traditionally preserved meats and other ritually important articles like brass plate, bells, beads and squirrel.

This ceremony marks the final farewell of daughter from her parents home after the marriage.
