Upgrade Your Jeep Patriot's Battery! Diy Guide For Effortless Battery Swap - 2007 To 2017 Models

#Mundaneman completes a fairly simple change of a battery on a 2010 #Jeep Patriot with a 2.4L engine. This job is the same on a 2007 to 2017 Jeep Patriot. An easy job that can be easily done on your driveway or in the garage.

You will need a ratchet with a long extension and a 1/2" socket (a 13mm may work as well) to remove the battery hold down bracket. You will also need a 10mm socket or wrench to loosen the battery cables on the battery terminals. When I reconnect the battery cables on the new battery, I also put some lithium grease on the battery posts to reduce the build-up of corrosion.

The replacement battery I used is a Kirkland 86FT. If your Patriot has the 2.0L engine make sure you search a battery that matches your vehicle.
