I have developed my first ever Half-Life mod, I present to you Half-Life: Citizen, a very mini-story mod which runs on Half-Life 2 Leaknet Beta using the 2001-2002 contents base.

Q. What is this mod about?

A. The year is 202X in an oppressed 2001 styled beta world in which the Consul is the administrator and the world is much darker and distressing, You play as a citizen (specifically male_07) named Walter, who was going about his normal state of affairs but managed to become intertwined and deeply involved in the Consul's plans. Was it sheer unluckiness? Was it fate? or was it destiny?

Q. How long did it take you to make the mod?

A. 3 days to create the main plot and I'm quite proud of myself, even though I'm just slapping on a crappy fan fiction story onto pre-made 2001-2002 beta maps.

Q. What else is included in the mod other than a story?

A. SOME new textures on maps, some new weapon sounds, voice acting for the characters, new sound effects, new music soundtracks added (all from the authentic fake HL2 Beta soundtrack! with tracks like Future Retro and Trilogy)

Q. What inspired you to make this mod?

A. I've always wanted to make a mod using the Source Engine, the first ever mod I began developing was a GoldSource mod but I stopped working on it due to lack of motivation and time since I was making the maps from scratch, but this mod was different with only the tutorial map being made from scratch and the rest of the maps being premade beta maps straight from Valve.

Q. Will there be any updates, an extension to the mod perhaps?

A. Maybe... Maybe not.. don't count on it..
