Does my Bearded Dragon have Parasites or Coccidia - How to Treat Parasites - Cookies Critters
Welcome to Cookie's Critters.
We are reptile breeders in Western Sydney and this channel is to educate our customers and followers. The reptiles that we breed are Central Bearded Dragons, Pygmy Bearded dragons, Knob tail geckos, and Northern Velvet Geckos.
In todays video we discuss how our quarantine protocols prevent the spread of parasites and in particular, Coccidia. We have recently purchased 2 new bearded dragons and one had a bad case of Coccidia and high levels of pinworms.
We cover the signs and symptoms of parasites, if your beardies is loosing weight, not eating, or they have blood in their poo, they most likely have a parasite. Get to your local reptile veterinarian for a faecal screening.
We explain how parasites are introduced into a collection and how to prevent the spread into your other animals.
Finally we show how we treat parasites, including how to administer oral medication.
In the future our expansion will include Blue tongue skink morphs, carpet pythons and green tree pythons.
For a list of reptiles that we have for sale and care sheets on the animals we keep, check out our website https://www.cookiescritters.com.au
