The Catfish Bait All Fish Love

Threafin shad are the ultimate fishing bait. While gizzard shad are a good catfish bait, threadfin shad are one of the best catfish bait choices for any size catfish. Virtually any freshwater fish that feeds on live fish will fish eat threadfin shad. Threadfin shad are excellent catfish bait, but threadfin shad will also catch bass, crappie, perch and even skipjack. Threadfin shad are usually easy to net, but they can be a challenge to keep alive if you do not have a good bait tank.
