On 27 November 2025, the South Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency (STRIA) will organise an online Political Engagement Meeting within the CE-PRINCE project. The event will take place via Zoom and will bring together public authorities and regional stakeholders to strengthen political willingness to adopt circular and green public procurement (C/GPP) practices.
The meeting will be held in close synergy with the Circular Minds (Interreg Europe) project, as STRIA is a partner in both initiatives. This cross-project cooperation ensures that public-sector stakeholders receive consistent and mutually reinforcing messages on circularity, awareness-raising and sustainable decision-making.While CE-PRINCE provides strategic and policy-oriented guidance on circular and green procurement, Circular Minds supports behavioural change, ESG-based cooperation and stakeholder engagement. The event will combine these strengths to support municipalities in their transition to more sustainable procurement practices.
The programme will begin with an introduction to the CE-PRINCE project, outlining its objectives, partnership structure and role in accelerating the circular transition across Central Europe. Participants will learn about the Transnational C/GPP Strategy and the project’s planned capacity-building activities, tools and pilot developments.
A dedicated presentation will focus on practical opportunities that CE-PRINCE offers for public administrations, including the integration of circularity into tendering processes, the use of environmental and sustainability criteria, and the benefits of adopting circular procurement across different sectors. Examples from European good practices will illustrate how municipalities and public organisations can implement circularity in areas such as sustainable construction, low-emission mobility, energy-efficient equipment, and green catering.
The event will conclude with an open Q&A session, providing an opportunity for participants to ask questions, share their needs, and discuss current challenges in their procurement procedures. This interactive segment will also help identify future areas where CE-PRINCE and Circular Minds can cooperate to support public-sector actors through capacity-building, knowledge-sharing and pilot actions.
By organising this online political engagement session, STRIA aims to enhance political commitment, build awareness and prepare stakeholders for deeper involvement in CE-PRINCE’s upcoming capacity-building workshops and pilot activities.
All public authorities and invited stakeholders interested in circularity, sustainable procurement and innovative public governance are welcome to join the session and take part in shaping a more resilient and circular future for the region.
