LADY OF THE SEA

Emmett is SO talented and one of my best friends and favorite people to work with.

That being said we spent two weeks filming in French Polynesia in what felt like a very uninspired uphill battle. Nothing was clicking or falling into place and I was struggling emotionally with a lot of personal things.

Much of the middle part of the narrative came from that place of me really needing the ocean and all she teaches me.

Towards the end of the trip Emmett came to me with a paragraph in his notebook and was like “what do you think about this?”. It would end up becoming the opening lines and so Lady and the Sea was born.

In a wave of creativity we changed the concept of the film, I locked myself in my room and wrote the rest. We filmed the opening scene that evening and we finally felt like this was the story we wanted to tell.

We’re so excited to share this labor of love with you all.
