"Dana Fork Rainbow" - The Story Behind the Painting

As a scientific illustrator, I prefer to paint from actual specimens. The painting I just completed, "Dana Fork Rainbow," was inspired by a wild rainbow trout I took on the fly on the Dana Fork of the Toulamie in California's High Sierras.
