"Dana Fork Rainbow" - The Story Behind the Painting
As a scientific illustrator, I prefer to paint from actual specimens. The painting I just completed, "Dana Fork Rainbow," was inspired by a wild rainbow trout I took on the fly on the Dana Fork of the Toulamie in California's High Sierras. This short video gives some insight into my artistic process and the reasons behind some of the Choices I made. Limited edition giclees, as well as open edition prints, of the painting are available at www.KarenTalbotArtOnline.com.
