Ambassador Nicholas Burns on U.S. Engagement with International Institutions & Global Allies
This livestream features Ambassador Nicholas Burns, Professor at the Harvard Kennedy School and Executive Director of the Aspen Strategy Group and Aspen Security Forum. Ambassador Burns served in the United States government for twenty-seven years with posts as U.S. Ambassador to NATO (2001-2005), Ambassador to Greece (1997-2001), and Senior Director for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Affairs on the National Security Council (1990–1995). Ambassador Burns is in conversation with Robert J. Abernethy, LAWACTH Board Member, Chairman of the American Standard Development Company, and Vice Chairman of the Atlantic Council. Their conversation unpacks Burns’ extensive career to shed light on the future of U.S. foreign policy and diplomacy particularly looking at how the Biden administration is working with international organizations like NATO and other U.S. allies.
