When we get memory cards that do not show any signs of life, one of the procedures we use to restore data from them is called chip-off recovery. A chip off recovery is a process of recovering data from a memory card directly from memory chips. In today's case, we have 2 of those chips. Chips can have different amounts of crystals inside (1,2,4,8) usually referred to as CE signals. In order to see data, physical images need to go through the data conversion elements of a controller. Page parameters also need to be described to the software for it to look at data in a proper format. Once pages in blocks and blocks themselves are arranged sequentially, a file system can be built.
