Masterson Method Accordion Technique
This video was taken at the launch the newest Masterson Method® course called Light To The Core with instructor Lori Hoppe. This course is about using the subtlest forms of bodywork that affect the deepest muscles of the horse's body.
As Lori explains, you can use both hands to find where the horse responds, then shorten and lengthen the distance between your hands along these areas:
🔹Lumbar to Sacrum
🔹Pelvic Point to Hip Joint
🔹Hamstrings
🔹Pelvic Point to Abdominals
Fascia is considered a communication system that runs through the body and Accordion is the word used to describe what our hands are doing when asking for relaxation of the fascia or connective tissue. The action is very subtle and light with two hands gently coming together and then apart. Picture shortening and lengthening the muscles under your hands using the amount of energy it takes to move a piece of paper. That is how gentle this technique can be used and why it is part of our Light to the Core techniques.
By combining the Masterson Method of Search, Response, Stay, Release, you can find a response with each hand and then slowly accordion the muscles back and forth between your hands. Accordions can be so used so lightly that sometimes it is just the intention of moving your hands together that can help your horse relieve tension.
Improve your horse’s health and performance. Get ready to discover subtle, gentle, simple bodywork that has the ability to profoundly affect the deepest interconnections of the horse’s body. The Masterson Method® Light to the Core DVD and Streaming http://ow.ly/x7L550HJUZY
