In this tutorial, I’ll share a 2-layer sharpening technique that can give you more natural results than AI sharpening in Photoshop. Sometimes AI sharpening filters can make hair texture look soft and fake, while skin can appear overly smooth or plasticky. Using this method, you can restore sharpness and details on soft or slightly blurry images while keeping the texture more natural and realistic. Keep in mind that this technique is designed for soft images and may not work well on extremely blurred photos, since heavily blurred images contain less detail data to recover.
