Unmanned Wireless Underwater Photography Submarine Public Edition

Public Edition of the ROV Submarine Trailer. It reveals the design and fabrication process of this 3D-Printing Submarine. As an individual project, all the works were done by Hugo.

This project aims to develop a real, practical remotely, operated
underwater vehicle (ROV) paradigm with the function of observing from a
marine perspective.
1. Compared to a normal ROV with a cable connection, it transfers wireless signals beyond the surface of water. Transmitting real-time video and image flows, instant saving or capturing moments on PC or mobile devices are the advancements.
2. By utilizing 2.4G channel as visual signal, the coverage could reach 200m, which facilitates on-shore observation and operation.
3. Different from the traditional pumping piston tank design, the use of double brushless motors as propellant diving module achieves the fast-diving and exact-floating in the water.
4. Diving over 2 meters with 75MHz wireless signal control, it could automatically float upward when the signal is lost.
5. Moreover, the streamlined shape design ensures the hull having a low water resistance and high maneuverability, and an X-rudder configuration significantly improves the accuracy of hull attitude control.
This proposed design fits widely into numerous engineering applications leading to a high commercial value, such as marine life observation, underwater detection of workpiece’s defects, and even for mines detection and national security/ military purposes.

本項目致力於開發可在水下環境中無線攝影的無人遙控潛艇(簡稱ROV)。相比於傳統的設計, 此潛艇具有如下優點:
(1) 無需纜線連結即可在水面實現實時無線視像信號的傳輸及捕捉;
(2) 信號傳輸可覆蓋200米範圍空間, 有利于操作者實現在岸控制和觀測活動;
(3) 雙無刷電機構成的推進式下潛模塊可實現整機快速下潛並精確水中定位;
(4) 水滴流線型的外觀設計保證了艇身具有低水阻和良好的機動性能;
(5) 艇尾的X舵結構及四舵協同完成水平及垂直運動,可大大提高艇身姿態控制的精確度。
综上所述, 此设计具有广泛的工程應用範圍及较高的商业應用价值, 譬如可用於海洋生物觀測, 水下工件檢測,甚或探測水雷等軍事用途。
