Teach Your Pitchers How To 'Ride the Slide - Mirror the Slope"

There's a lot of pitching philosophies about how to use your legs to increase your velocity and reduce arm stress, but as you've probably learned...

Most don't work.

If you're looking to throw the baseball harder, easier, here's what I recommend.

Watch the MLB pitchers inside this video and notice how each of them do a few things very similar.

1. Anchor the feet: Without foot stability, the hips or shoulders cannot rotate.

2. Ride the Slide: The key is learning how to drive down into the ground, not push off the rubber, to generate ground force. In fact, the greater you invest into the ground early...

Finally...

3. Turn the corner: After you've established stability of the hips and feet, and have completed your "Ride down the Slide" the shoulders and hips goal is to aggressively rotate or "Turn the corner" around a firm front leg.
