Trump must earn our votes, says Nikki Haley as she quits US presidential race | BBC News

Nikki Haley has announced she is suspending her Republican campaign for the US presidential election 2024 - but says she has "no regrets".

Her move makes Donald Trump the last Republican left in the race.

Haley congratulated Trump, but said he must now "earn the votes" of people who did not support him.

"Never just follow the crowd. Always make up your own mind," Haley said, quoting Margaret Thatcher when asked if she would support the Republican nominee.
