INKTOBER fountain pen ink drawing "The Sentinel"

Inktober is a month long challenge to draw in pen and ink to help improve your inking and drawing skills. Not just for comic book artists, all artist can benefit from developing your inking abilities. In my sketch, "The Sentinel", I do a detailed ink drawing using my favorite fountain pen, waterproof ink and watercolor paper. I share with you my tools, techniques and thoughts, from the initial pencil sketch through finished ink drawing. In the end, I'll show you how it looks when I've added watercolor to turn it into a scary full moon backlit scene and then I take it into Photoshop to make the light effects pop.
