Blinken in Israel: Hamas Massacres Echo Horrors of Nazi Germany

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken landed in Israel today to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a joint speech, Blinken expressed the USA’s unwavering support for Israel, and said Hamas’ massacres echoed the killing of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Netanyahu said that he wanted the international community to treat the Palestinian militant group Hamas the same way it treated the Islamic State.

Blinken’s visit comes as the US ramps up its involvement in the conflict.

The US has committed to supplying Israel with arms and supplies, and has already flown in at least one shipment of advanced weaponry.

It’s also been reported that the US State Department is making plans to evacuate between 500-600 US citizens still inside Gaza.

The war has already cost more than a thousand lives on each side, and Israel says Hamas is still holding around 150 Israelis hostage in Gaza.
