‘Cash cow’: US universities benefitting from foreign students with CCP links
Former Trump senior advisor Christian Whiton says roughly a quarter of foreign students studying at US universities are from China.
Harvard students have celebrated their graduation this week despite United States President Donald Trump attempting to block foreign students from studying at the university.
“It’s likely that most of these people have links to an elite,” Mr Whiton said.
“Universities love it, it’s a cash cow, but you have to ask: does Harvard with an endowment of $50 billion or Yale with an endowment of $40 billion; do they really need that much more money, especially if it’s coming from China?”
