Honour Killing in Custody: Woman Shot Dead by Brothers in UP | Mo of Everything

A 25-year-old woman, Rakhi Rana, was shot dead by her own brothers inside a Community Health Centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur, while she was in police custody. She had left home with a man, with whom she was in a relationship, following which her family filed a complaint. After tracing her, the police brought her in for a medical examination before producing her in court. But during this process, her brothers reached the hospital and opened fire, critically injuring her. She was rushed to a private hospital and later referred to AIIMS Rishikesh, where she succumbed to her injuries. The main accused, Monty Rana, has been arrested and sent to judicial custody, while the role of her other brother is under investigation. In a chilling twist, the accused also recorded a video before surrendering, admitting to the crime.
