This is an important follow-up video regarding adding too much pressure or using too much pressure when you're in the upper register and either not getting a note or getting a week high note on trumpet.
Now if you just tried my demonstration in reverse in other words you tried to play your highest note and then back up on the pressure you might still have either got air or you might have dropped several notes.
Why would that have happened?
Only one reason: You didn't have the EMBOUCHURE strength to continue to cushion and push out the lips against the mouthpiece so the mouthpiece would not trap your lips between the hard metal surface of the mouthpiece and the hardness of your teeth.
You have to develop the lip and embouchure strength to be able to withstand the force of the metal from the mouthpiece where it wants to pinch your lip, soft-tissue, against your teeth.
That is the answer my friend and probably one you didn't want to hear...😊
