In today's video, Patrick Adair designs a ring out of solid zirconium. Zirconium is a dark metal that is normal in its solid form, but if it is turned into a powder (like during machining), zirconium is highly flammable. This makes zirconium one of the most interesting materials to machine as the scraps catch fire while you lathe it.
