Celebrating Jake Kensinger

This video is dedicated to remembering the life and music of Jake Kensinger. Jake was an avid and active musician all his life, a guitar virtuoso with a wonderfully harmonious voice. He performed in the duo Two for the Show with his musical partner Ellen Schmidt for nearly 25 years. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY in 1948 and lived in Acton Massachusetts at the time of his death in October 2014. This Video includes portions of his original song “Another Day” and covers of the 1930s song “On The Sunny Side of the Street” and a wonderful guitar version of the Count Basie standard “Jumpin’ at the Woodside”. Video clips include Two for the Show performing Billy Bragg’s “Way Over Yonder in The Minor Key” and from a 1990 Woody Guthrie tribute video.
The video also includes photographs taken by Dan Tappan, Marc Feldman and photos from the personal collections of Ellen Schmidt and Jake’s life partner Michelle Boule. The video was compiled and edited by Wayne V. Martin, owner of Stream Productions.
