Farewell San Francisco Bay Ospreys 2017

And so we say goodbye to this Osprey family. Many thanks to Golden Gate Audubon for installing the camera so we could see live, streaming video of this nest!

First fledge: July 3, 2017
Second fledge: July 4, 2017 (?)

The chicks are named Whirley and Rivet

Whirley was just learning to fly and she flew away in the night and got injured, was found by a barge crew in the water and taken to Wild Care. Her injuries were too serious for her to recover
