Last CAST Catching HUGE Fish on TINY Rod!

Flathead season last year was great fun. This was my first proper big flathead measuring at 80cm. It was caught on a small Daiwa Double Clutch using a 1-2kg Daiwa crest combo on 6lb braid and 10lb leader.

I was there for about three hours fishing and was about to go home until this big lizard hooked up. By the time I got back to my bag to get my measuring mat, the battery in my GoPro died.

I wish I was more composed throughout the fight to talk more coherently but I had so much adrenaline and was so focused that I couldn't even get a sentence out. I think this was partly due to the fact I had been trying for months to get a big flathead, so you can imagine how elated I was when I hooked up!
