The biggest risk with injury is not the injury itself - it’s that most people stop moving. Initially, this might be smart to rest, but within days of almost any injury, you have to get active again - carefully.
Your joints require movement for circulation of fluids, your tissues need to be stressed and stretched to heal properly, and your body will detrain quickly if left to sit idle.
