Dear friends,

We are Color Music Children’s choir, from Ukraine.
As you know, last year we were startled by brutal violence in our homeland.

Many people read the news about Russian invasion, the devastating damage bombs did to buildings, the battered infrastructure of electricity, internet, gas and water and all the other known sides of being in a war situation.

What the news hardly covers is what this war means to our people. It is horrible for our children to hear explosions and sirens every day and to live in constant fear. With our hearts and voices we are connected, but in reality it has been a very difficult year and we have no idea how long this tragedy will last. We want to overcome this sad and horrible situation. The war stole our youth! All of our dreams have been shattered! Our families are torn apart!

When the war started, in the spring of 2022 many of our choir members were scattered all over Europe. Many of us haven't seen their dads for months now. But singing kept us strong even when we were not together. Our children sang for their beautiful homeland, whilst being in Germany, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, and also many of our children stayed home in Ukraine. We have collected all their voices from Europe, and put them together in this amazing and emotional video. We hope so much that we can touch your heart with it. Our children send their love to everyone who is desperately in need of connection.

Our children learned the meaning of war in the worst possible way. We have seen the fear in the eyes of our mothers, who were desperately seeking ways to protect us! No child should experience this!

With this song we want to show that friendship is the most important thing in life and we hope that the whole world will also embrace Ukraine as a friend. We need you!

Stay safe, and we all hope for a better future for Ukraine and all its children.
