I often see other youtube photography videos about night photography settings, but to be honest it kind of bothers me that most of them don't shoot night photography all that often. So I thought, why not make a video about night photography settings by a street photographer that specializes in night photography?

I shoot street photography mainly at night. So for night photography, these are the camera settings I regularly use. These are night photography settings without a flash. I don't use flash usually. I like sharing my photography tips with others to try and show that getting the perfect night image is not that impossible and neither is photography.

People ask me what my camera settings are for night photography.
To be honest, there is no one setting because pictures are always shot under different lights and environments. So I let my camera decide for the most part. There are no magic night photography camera settings that are going to magically transform your photos and make you into a great street photographer. In short i shoot auto aperture priority. I don't worry about the ISO, nor the shutter speed. I just focus on the moment. I like to do night photography without a tripod. Tripods are great for things like light trails or astrophotography but you don't always need it for night photo shoots.
