With Spike, Cow and Big Bull Hunters coming in this Fall, we have been working hard on locating bigger herds. Utah decided to start a trail cam season this year, which everyone had to pull their cams off the mountain by 7/31. Unfortunately, this is going to really affect those that waited 20 years to draw a September or October tag, and it has made it a little tougher for everyone to keep tabs on the animals. As we say in the Military, it's time to "Adapt and Overcome" which is what we decided to do! This season we decided to try and switch up tactics and instead of trying to target and locate mainly big Bulls, we focused more on where the Cows, Calves and Spikes were hanging out. We figure since most of the time the cows stay within their migrating and feeding areas, so if we could locate them and keep tabs on them, the Bulls would slowly start trickling in. We hit the nail on the head with that one as the Bulls are now only about 1 mile from the big herds and closing in quickly.
