We've all been there: confidently pushing a door that needed to be pulled. Or worse, pulling one that clearly says "push."

These are Norman doors — named after one of our founders, Don Norman, who (fun fact) reportedly hates that his name is attached to them. 🤣 😅

Why do these doors fail us? It comes down to affordances and how we instinctively understand what objects want us to do.
