Revisiting the Canon 40D - Exceptional Build Quality and Performance for the Price

The Canon 40D is an enthusiast level camera made in 2007 and can be had for under $100 today. Worth it? I think so. Beyond being affordable, the Canon lenses are cheap and readily accessible setting you up for years of great photography. The 10 Megapixel sensor produces beautiful images still to this day and there's really no reason a beginner photographer couldn't be happy with this and save some serious money.
