Murgh Pulao on Foodshoot Season 1
Pilaf or pilau or pulao is a dish, originating from the Indian subcontinent, in which rice is cooked in a seasoned broth. In some cases, the rice may attain its brown or golden color by first being sauteed lightly in oil before the addition of broth. Cooked onion, garlic cloves, sliced carrot, other vegetables, as well as a mix of spices, may be added. Depending on the local cuisine, it may additionally contain meat, fish, vegetables, pasta (orzo), or dried fruit. It is also sometimes called rice pullao.
Believed to have originated in ancient India and spread from there to ancient Iran, pulao and similar dishes are common to Balkan, Middle Eastern, Eastern Europe, South Caucasian, Central and South Asian, East African, Latin American, and Caribbean cuisines. It is a staple food and a popular dish in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Israel, Crete, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Romania, Russia, Kurdistan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, Pakistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Uganda, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Xinjiang, and Uzbekistan

They have their own Rice Reprocessing Plant at Kamoke to obtain good quality rice. Besides the use of latest technology in preparation of shami kabab, quality beef and veggies are selected at high standard. That is, freshness, fineness and cleanliness is always taken into consideration. They don't compromise on their principles, that is why taste and quality of Savour Foods remain the same as it was on the very first day.
Their enterprising odyssey begin way back in 1988 on Gordon College Road, Rawalpindi under the name ‘SAVOUR FOODS’ their products not only the palates but also the hearts of their customers and on 7th August 2001, they inaugurated their new branch in the Melody Food Park, Islamabad. They confidence propelled to new heights as their daughter branch proud to be a resounding success and 24th March, 2005 saw the sign board of ‘SAVOUR FOODS’ hoisted in the Blue Area, Islamabad. The same year we celebrated the Nation’s Independence Day by inaugurating yet another branch in Food Street, Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. It was in this branch that they launched their new brand ‘SAVOUR KRISPO’ in 2008. In 2010 this new brand was introduced in Gordon College Road branch. Hopefully, very soon the lahorites shall experience the mouth-watering tastes of these delights.
