🐝 Knowing your enemy and its behavior is half the battle.
In this video I will show you what the enemy looks like, their behavior and teach you how to get rid of them Quick & Easy & Kill Any Newcomers & keep them from coming back.

There are over 500 species of Carpenter Bee worldwide.
They are found in the U.S. south land from Arizona to Florida and up the eastern coast to NY
They have strong holds in some parts of Canada as well.
They are in great numbers in tropical climates.

DAMAGE:
The most vulnerable wood is softer pine, cedar, Cyprus and redwoods
Painted woods are less vulnerable than exposed weathered wood.
Stained wood offers little protection.
Areas of attack usually include but is not limited to:
Windowsills, patio furniture, playground structures, decks, fences, doors, eaves, barns, farm structures, generally, anywhere soft wood of about 1 inch thick that can be accessed by these flying chainsaws.

Woodpeckers love to eat the larvae and are attracted to the nest chambers and will cause further destruction tearing up the wood to get to the larvae which they can hear chewing at the wood from the inside.

PERMETHRIN MIXING INSTRUCTIONS FOR AROUND THE HOUSE, TRAVEL & CAMPING
I mix 10% permethrin emulsifiable concentrate in these ratios.
It kills fast and is mostly water, deadly to insects wet or dry, and when it dries it’s still deadly for up to 90 days:
1½ oz (abt 3Tbsp) per gallon (128oz) container
2 tsp per (32oz) quart spray bottle
1 tsp per 10-16oz bottle
½ tsp per 8oz spray bottle
¼ tsp per 4oz spray bottle.

Which leaves the final ratio of permethrin at 0.0103125% dilution rate or 1% permethrin.
Enough to kill invertebrates (insects) quickly but not a high enough concentration to affect mammals.

Permethrin or Permectrin II is a man made water soluble oil identical to natural Pyrethrins that can be mixed in water or oil bases.
